If your layover was on the same ticket and your boarding pass for the second flight was already issued, you could stay airside without entering Turkey, and no visa would be needed. My advice: Confirm with Pegasus whether they can issue your second boarding pass in Cologne or at Istanbul. If not, apply for a Turkish visa ahead of time to avoid last-minute stress. Hi Pamela, I recently visited Turkey with the same situation, so I can share the information with you. Turkey uses the 90 days in any 180-day period rule for U.S. citizens. Your stay from Sept 8–Nov 13, 2025, used about 67 days, and those do not reset when you leave. You currently have around 23 days left until earlier days fall outside the 180-day window. Hello Souhb Rayan, I’ve traveled through Copenhagen with a Swedish passport before. If your trip stays within the Schengen area, a Swedish passport usually just needs to be valid for the duration of travel, so 4 months is normally fine. If you’re traveling or passing through outside Schengen, many countries require at least 6 months' validity, so it could be an issue.
