If you're required to pass through immigration during your transit, then you need to have a visa. Then I checked the list of eligible countries for an e-visa here: https://turkey-evisa.it.com/all-eligible-country-for-turkey-visa/ and found that my nationality was not eligible. So I had to apply for a sticker visa through the Turkish embassy. So I suggest checking your eligibility through the link.
