The citizens of countries eligible for Turkey e-ATV can apply online using the eVisa portal. Make sure that you meet all the entry requirements before you start your application.

Can I leave the airport transit area with an approved Turkey Airport Transit eVisa?

No, the Turkey Airport Transit eVisa only allows you to remain in the airport transit area while waiting for your connecting flight. It does not permit entry into Turkey or travel outside the airport.

Conditions to Apply for the Airport Transit eVisa

An airport transit eVisa can only be obtained if the traveller’s final destination is Colombia, Mexico, Panama, or Venezuela.

Document Requirements

To apply for the Turkey airport transit eVisa, applicants must provide the following:

1. A scan of their valid passport’s biodata page showing all personal details and the MRZ clearly.
2. Digital photo of the applicant with their full face clearly visible. This should be taken within the last 6 months of the application.

In addition, applicants must also submit the details of any ONE of the following at the time of application process:

1. Ticket number of their confirmed flight booking
   OR
2. Reference number of their booked flight

• Validity Period: 24 Hours from issuance
• Permitted Stay: Up to 24 Hours

Tip: Applicants should apply close to their travel dates so the e-ATV remains valid for their transit journey.

Processing Options and Fees

The transit eVisa can be obtained within 1 Hour after applying by selecting super-rush processing (an extra fee applies). 

Standard (takes 1 - 2 Days) and rush processing (takes 6 - 12 Hours) are also available for applicants who do not want approval immediately. 

The total Turkey Airport Transit eVisa fee varies by the selected processing speed, as faster processing options incur an additional cost.
