As you are an Algerian citizen and wish to apply for a tourist visa to Turkey, please note that you must have a supporting document, such as a valid visa or residence permit from the Schengen area, the US, the UK, or Ireland. According to the latest update from the UK government, residence permits and visas have been replaced with an Immigration Status Document. If this applies to you, you must provide your Share Code along with its expiry date when submitting your application. Please note that an e-Visa alone will not be accepted for this requirement. Hi, I actually faced the same issue a few days ago. I also hold a refugee travel document and wanted to visit Turkey, but I couldn’t find clear information online. After doing some research and speaking with someone who had gone through the process, I found out that refugee travel documents are not accepted for online eVisa applications. The eVisa system only works for ordinary (national) passports, so if you’re using a refugee travel document, a sticker visa from the embassy or consulate is the only option. They can confirm whether you’re eligible and guide you through the steps to apply for the visa. Hi Yam! 👋 For students applying for higher education from Nepal, my friend also went to Turkey for her master’s and applied for a regular student visa through the embassy. I’d suggest you do the same.

Hey Reymart! I had the same confusion when helping my friend who’s also a Philippine passport holder. At first, we thought we could just grab a Turkey e‑Visa online, but this community helped us understand the rules clearly. Unfortunately, Philippine passport holders can only get the Turkey e‑Visa if they have a valid visa or residence permit from the US, UK, Schengen countries, or Ireland. Since your Japan visa doesn’t count, you’ll need to apply for a regular sticker visa through the Turkish Embassy or Consulate. Hope this helps you avoid the confusion I went through — safe travels!
