Complaint about my flight being delayed which caused me to miss another flight

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the experience I had while traveling to an official mission at the University of Porto in Portugal.

The flight from Cairo (TK 693) was delayed and did not take off until 6 am. This delay caused me to miss my connecting flight from Istanbul to Porto (TK 1449). Upon arrival in Istanbul, I immediately contacted the Turkish Airlines staff at the airport to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, the response I received was far from satisfactory.

Despite this rebooking, the delay caused significant disruptions to my schedule. I finally arrived at Porto Airport at 7:10 pm instead of the originally scheduled 11:15 am. This delay resulted in missing the preparatory meetings for my official mission and led to criticism from my university for not arriving on time. Additionally, I endured long hours of waiting at Cairo, Istanbul, and Lisbon airports. I incurred unexpected expenses for food and drinks while waiting and had to use private transportation from Porto Airport to my accommodation to minimize further delays.

Furthermore, the physical and mental exhaustion from this ordeal affected my ability to perform my assigned duties effectively upon arrival. It is also important to note that I was traveling with a service passport issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, not a regular passport, which highlights the official nature of my mission and the importance of punctuality.
