Understanding the Turkish eVisa System

The Turkish eVisa system has replaced the traditional visa issuance method involving stickers or stamps in passports. Families and friends travelling together can complete their visa applications online and receive their approved Turkey eVisas via email.

Determining Who Needs a Turkey eVisa

Every traveller who requires a Turkey eVisa must have their own approved eVisa, including children. Adding family members to the same application does not mean that one eVisa covers the entire family. 

Travellers should check the list of countries eligible for Turkey eVisa to confirm whether each family member can apply online. 

Types of Turkey eVisa for Family Applications

Travellers submitting a family application can apply for the eVisa type suitable for their travel purpose:

• Turkey Tourist/Business eVisa: For tourism, holidays, family visits or permitted short-term business activities.

• Validity: 180 days
• Entry Type: Single or multiple entry, depending on nationality
• Stay Duration: Up to 30 days for single entry or 90 days for multiple entry

• Turkey Airport Transit Visa (Currently Unavailable): For eligible travellers transiting through a Turkish airport to another country.

Mandatory Requirements for Turkey eVisa Family Applications

Each traveller added to a family application must meet the Turkey eVisa requirements applicable to them. Use the 'Add Applicant’ option to add family members or friends. 

Each applicant must provide:

• Valid passport bio-page scan

• Recent photograph

• Supporting document, if required for their nationality

Each traveller receives their own Turkey eVisa upon approval.

Applying for a Turkey eVisa for Your Family or Group

Step 1: Fill in the Application Form Enter the primary applicant's personal, passport and travel details correctly in the Turkey eVisa application form.

Step 2: Add Other Applicants Select “Add Applicant” and enter the required personal, passport and travel details for each additional traveller.

Step 3: Submit Required Documents Upload the required passport scan, photograph, and supporting document, if applicable, separately for each applicant added.

Step 4: Pay and Receive eVisas Review all applicant details, complete the required payment and receive each approved Turkey eVisa for each added family member by email.
